Warner Bros. have debuted the first trailer of “Sherlock Holmes”. Injecting a taste of action adventure as well as showcasing an ample of humor to be seen in this Arthur Conan Doyle’s novel adaptation, the video footage gives a slightly better idea at Guy Ritchie’s new take on the legendary detective and his crime-solving story.
Opened with a capture of Mark Strong’s villainous Lord Blackwood standing behind jail’s bar, the promotional video shares what Robert Downey Jr.’s titular character faces this time around. In addition to providing glimpses at Rachel McAdams’s Irene Adler, it also parades the bro-romance between Holmes and his sidekick Watson, which is played by Jude Law.

And for those of you who do not have a chance to watch the video, here are high quality captures from the trailer:
Remember when Jude Law was really hot? We can tell you: in 1999’s The Talented Mr. Ripley. Directed by Anthony Minghella, this super-creepy thriller is about a social-climbing psychopath played by Matt Damon (the first performance when we were all like, huh, this guy can really act!) who goes all sort of single white male over Jude Law and his girlfriend played by Gwyneth Paltrow. Everyone had a part in this thing–don’t miss the awesome turns by Philip Seymour Hoffman and Cate Blanchett. [TMC, 8 p.m.]
It is still unclear whether Jude is gonna come to Cannes. The recent article on the movie put me in doubt.
Waits, Cole and Plummer are due to join Gilliam at the premiere of the film in Cannes, but Law is in final rehearsals for a West End production of Hamlet, while Depp is filming in Puerto Rico.

Gameloft has bagged the rights to make a mobile game of the upcoming Sherlock Holmes film, being directed by Guy Ritchie.
There have been a few Sherlock games in the past, including the excellent Secret of the Silver Earring. However, there’s never been quite as big a publisher as Gameloft at the wheel.
The mobile game of the Sherlock Holmes movie will be popping up just before the film itself, which is due for release on Christmas Day this year.
The screening schedule for the 2009 Cannes Film Festival is now online. Terry Gilliam’s “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” will play out of competition near the end of the festival on Friday, May 22.
AfterElton.com continues making lists of hottest celebrities. This time they’ve made a top ten list of cinema’s sexiest boys. Jude is in the list with his role as Steven Griscz in the movie “The Wisdom of Crocodiles”.
You don’t forget the film that introduces you to a man as beautiful as Jude Law to you, especially when he succeeds in portraying an ages old vampire who hides decades of wisdom behind his youthful visage.
