The Berlin International Film Festival (February 7-17) has added nine more titles to its competition lineup, including Steven Soderbergh’s psychological thriller “Side Effects,” starring Rooney Mara, Channing Tatum and Jude Law. The Berlinale is the first major European film festival of the year. Last year the Golden Bear went to Italy’s veteran film-makers Paolo and Vittorio Taviani for Caesar Must Die, a docu-drama about inmates at a high-security prison staging Shakespeare.

Jude Law was born December 29, 1972 in Lewisham, South London, England as second child to teachers Maggie and Peter Law. He grew up in Blackheath, a village in the Borough of Lewisham and he was educated at John Ball Primary School in Blackheath and Kidbrooke School in Kidbrooke, before attending the Alleyn's School in Dulwich.
